The international Women’s Day provides an opportunity to advance the needs of women in most disadvantaged communities. FMP, under the Care Plus project, will reach out to forgotten women in fishing communities. Kigungu fishing landing site will host an outreach that will support an estimated 400 women to receive inclusive, comprehensive, rights-based sexual & reproductive health services. Fishing communities are the most neglected communities in Uganda dominated by key populations . These communities are characterized by limited access to services and information on safer sex practices, STI prevention, treatment and care.
The outreach will include infotainment, health talks, free access to SRH services and more!Join us on 8 March 2024 at Kingungu Fishing Landing Site to support the women and girls most in need.
