  • Strengthening Partnerships for Improved SRHR Service Delivery at Katabi HCIII

As part of our ongoing partner visits, our team—represented by the Head of Programs, Nabwire Polyne, and the In-charge of Family Medical Point, Dr. Tiisa Barbra—recently met with health workers at Katabi HCIII in Entebbe to strengthen partnerships for improved sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) outcomes.

The meeting provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on how health facilities can better support women and girls in our communities. Key areas of focus included strengthening referral pathways, improving client-centred care, and ensuring that women and girls receive respectful, accurate, and youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services.

“There is a need to make health facilities safer and more conducive for community members, as some people fear approaching health workers for health support,” noted Polyne. She encouraged health workers to always welcome patients with openness and compassion, emphasizing that friendly and respectful care is essential to saving more lives.

We believe that access to quality sexual and reproductive health services is strongest when communities and service providers work hand in hand. We are grateful to the team at Katabi HCIII for their openness, collaboration, and strong commitment to improving community health.

Partnerships like these are essential for sustainable impact, and we are encouraged by the positive progress ahead.
