The Family Medical Point (FMP) conducted a community outreach session in Nakiwogo, Entebbe Municipality, providing health education and services to 112 sex workers. This initiative, known as the Musawo Session, aimed to address the unique health needs of sex workers in fishing communities.
According to Polyne Nabwire, Head of Programmes at FMP, fishing communities like Nakiwogo face unique vulnerabilities, including high rates of transactional sex and limited access to healthcare. The session aimed to bridge this gap, providing essential services to those who need them most.
