  • FMP participates in the Youth SRHR Pan-African Scientific Conference

Family Medical Point (FMP) team took part in the annual youth sexual reproductive health and rights conference held in Mombasa, Kenya on 24 – 27, June 2025. The conference brought together over 1,000 delegates from 38 countries across the world.

FMP team presented 02 abstracts on utilization of social media to promote access to SRHR services among young people sharing the outcomes of a successful social media-based Young, Empowered and Healthy (YEAH) campaign that FMP implemented across universities in Uganda. The second abstract focused on the transformative media engagements that FMP has conducted as part of the Care-plus project promoting positive media coverage of SRHR issues in fishing communities.

Discussions centered on the need to contextualize how young people can no longer wait for access, protection, and agency over their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

“We return home more connected, more energized, and more resolute in our mission,” said Moses Odongo, FMP’s Executive Director who led the participating team.

The annual Youth SRHR Pan-African Scientific Conference is a leading African reproductive health gathering organized by Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) in conjunction with Kenya’s Ministry of Health and other partners.
