Extending SRHR services and commodities to Nkumba University students

Every young person is entitled to proper sexual and reproductive health rights. This involves being free from sexually transmitted infections, gender-based violence and maternal mortality, and ability to access essential health services. However, individual, socio-cultural, structural and policy barriers have limited access to reproductive and health services leaving most young people in poor health conditions.

We are privileged to work with the Nkumba University Guild to offer necessary sexual and reproductive health services as well as commodities in the Annual University Health week, 2021.

Our team has ably reached out to over 2,000 students with HIV counselling and testing services, Urinalysis tests and treatment, Family Planning, health education and dental services.

We aim at promoting preventive health behaviour among students who are evidently sexually active but are faced with financial hardships that has hindered them from obtaining this essential health services. It should be noted that Nkumba University is located along Entebbe-Kasenyi road, where Kasenyi landing site is a target point for most out activities.
